We had a very cold winter this year and several snows but unfortunately we missed out on the big one. We actually had a white Christmas this year. It started snowing on Christmas night and the next morning we woke up to almost 6" of snow. However, we were heading to Georgia that day so we were not able to play in the snow. The girls were very bummed. We told them, "Don't worry we will probably get more snow before the winter is over." A couple weeks after we went to Georgia, another snow storm was on its way. BUT, this time Georgia got 6" and we only got ice and a little snow. It was not much but we were determined to play in snow this year so we made the most of it. The roads were clear but the sidewalks were extremely icy. So, we spent several hours right outside our house sledding on the sidewalk. We had such a fun time.
Reece and I were going so fast we barreled through the snow pile at the end of the sidewalk and shot across the street heading straight for a ditch.
Regan took this photo of us and it cracks me up. Check out our expressions as we are about to go into a ditch. I ended up stopping us right in time.
Not sure how Riley can see? Her hat seems to be covering her eyes.
Warming up with some hot chocolate. The girls added chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, marshmallows and candy canes to their hot chocolate. It was very yummy.
Riley showing off all the sugar she is adding to her hot chocolate. Needless to say, they were very hyper after having this hot chocolate so we went out for a round 2 of sledding.
