Meet Clara Barton...

On March 18th, Regan had Biography Day.  She had to pick a person she wanted to study, read two books about the person, write a paper, dress up as the person and present her paper to the class.  Originally, Regan wanted to do Annie Oakley, who was a Marks woman, but Regan only had one book on her.  So, she chose Clara Barton, the founder of the American Red Cross, instead.  Clara Barton ended up being a perfect person for Regan to do because Clara was shy, very quiet and she took care of people.  After Regan presented her report, one of the parents came up to me and said, "Wow, Regan is very much like Clara Barton!"  Regan did a great job presenting her report and came up with a great costume too. 

 Regan also had to make a drawing of Clara Barton.  Here is her drawing.

 Regan had to have props too.  She made an American Red Cross flag out of an old pillow case and painted the Red Cross on it.  She also had a medical kit filled with bandages and gauze.
