We had a great Christmas Eve! We started our day by serving at the local rescue mission. The girls did a great job serving the food and making many people happy. They even made the local news that evening. Before we left our house for the Rescue Mission, the girls had collected some of their own money that they wanted to give to some of the residents of the mission (their own idea). We told the girls it would be better to give it to, Ernie Mills, the founder of the mission and he could put it to good use for all the residents. So after we served lunch, the girls went up to Ernie and gave him the money. He was very moved by their generosity (they gave $20.00). Ernie's wife, Gail, then gave us a personal tour of the new shelter that would be opening up in 2013. It was a very nice morning helping and loving others and the girls were begging to do it again next year.
